Sunday, June 12, we will be playing The Sidewinder with two of our favorite bands, Alter Der Ruine from Tucson and Nite from Dallas. Also on the bill are locals, Lustron, and our friend DJ Scorpio. Its going to be a great night of synth/noise/dream pop and the final night of Alter Der Ruine’s “Gravity Finds Us All Tour”. Tickets will be available here.

SXSW 2016 Showcasing Artist

2016 marks the first year we are playing South by Southwest as an official showcasing artist. Our showcase is Wednesday, March 16 at the new Voodoo Doughnuts (212 East 6th St.). We play at 11 PM.

A Celebration of music by The Cure

March 4, 2016, we will be performing at Cheer Up Charlie’s for Lucy The Poodle Productions‘ A Celebration of Music by The Cure. Our set includes The Hanging Garden, If Only Tonight We Could Sleep, and Lullaby. The show is free and donations will be collected for Teenage Cancer Trust. We play at 9:50.

Stubb’s and the North Door

We have two exciting shows coming up at venues we have not yet played. The first is next Thursday, August 20 at Stubb’s BBQ with Texas Microphone Massacre. Tickets are $5 in advance and are available from Frontgate Tickets. The second show is the release party for our first vinyl single, “Fever”! We have been waiting all year for this and are happy to announce our special guest, Mr. Kitty. In addition, touring acts Darren Keen and Giant Claw open the show. The “Fever” 7″ Release Show will take place on Thursday, September 17 at The North Door which is a cool space with a huge projection wall. It might be a while until our visuals take up this much space again. Tickets for the release show are $8 in advance and available here.

02/03/15 Zola Jesus Aftershow at The Mohawk

We are excited to announce that we will be playing the aftershow for Zola Jesus at The Mohawk on Tuesday, February 3. This will be our first show at The Mohawk and we have been fans of Zola Jesus for several years; MM even had the opportunity to run sound for them at the Sacred Bones showcase at SXSW 2012. We play inside after Zola Jesus finishes their set outside and our friend, Xander Harris, finishes up the night.

Next Saturday, January 10th, at 5 PM, we will be performing on Dave TV! Dave Prewitt has been a big part of the Austin music scene for quite some time. Anyone familiar with Austin Public Access television can attest to that. So we are quite honored to be a part of his new show. See it live on TV in Austin, January 10th, 5-6 PM CST on Time Warner & Grande Ch 10, UVerse Ch 99 or streaming on the interworld at channelAustin. 12/10/14 Hole In The Wall

The Nimbus heads to the UT campus to play the historic HOLE IN THE WALL! For the first time, we play the inside stage of an Austin legend. Founded in 1974, this stage has fueled the careers of Lucinda Williams, Nancy Griffith, Alejandro Escovedo, Trail of Dead, Spoon, The Gourds, Bob Schneider, Black Joe Lewis, Gary Clark Jr., Sterling Morrison, REM, St. Vincent, and more. Plus Dave Grohl used the bathroom.

The Nimbus plays at 11 PM.

11/13/14 Nite School
