The Nimbus heads to the UT campus to play the historic HOLE IN THE WALL! For the first time, we play the inside stage of an Austin legend. Founded in 1974, this stage has fueled the careers of Lucinda Williams, Nancy Griffith, Alejandro Escovedo, Trail of Dead, Spoon, The Gourds, Bob Schneider, Black Joe Lewis, Gary Clark Jr., Sterling Morrison, REM, St. Vincent, and more. Plus Dave Grohl used the bathroom.
The Nimbus plays at 11 PM.

ALLURE Update

On Thursday, August 14, we will be performing at RAW:Austin presents ALLURE. This is one of the biggest events we have played to date so we’re celebrating by offering a couple of added opportunities.
1. Everyone who purchases tickets before August 14 will be sent a download code for our first album, ™WORD.
2. Each ticket purchased by 7 PM on Thursday, August 7, will enter the purchaser into a raffle for a physical CD/shirt bundle. The shirt will be the first of a rare batch of glow in the dark logo shirts.
3. If, by 7 PM on Thursday, August 7, at least 20 tickets have been sold through this link or purchasers have specified they are buying a ticket to support The Nimbus, the first 10 ticket purchasers will receive an extra ticket for a friend.

RAW:Austin presents ALLURE

The Nimbus is now an official RAW Austin artist. We will be performing at RAW:Austin presents ALLURE at the Belmont on Thursday, August 14. These events present a cross section of the local arts community and as such, the show will include fashion and art, as well as our friends, Dead Love Club. Tickets cost $15 and are available here. We will be sending out ™WORD digital download codes to everyone who purchases tickets to see us. In addition, if you can’t make it to the show but want to pay it forward and support us in our adventures, you can still purchase a ticket/download (or several) and we can release the ticket to a local friend who can’t afford to buy one. Either way, just be sure to specify that you are supporting The Nimbus in the first drop down menu when purchasing a ticket.

Bloody Knives x The Nimbus

This Wednesday, June 18th, Martin and Ritch will be filling in on synth and noise duties for one of our favorite Austin bands, Bloody Knives. This mini tour kickoff show happens at Beerland at 11:30 PM. Its a bit of a last minute experiment and though we won’t be accompanying them on this brief tour due to scheduling conflicts, we hope to return to this role at some point this fall. Our first album, ‘™WORD – The Many Ways Of Rainy Days‘, is now available in Digital and CD formats! We took inspiration from DIY 7″ records for the CD package which includes a hand stenciled poster and a translucent vellum sleeve with a hand screened ™WORD element. The CD is also available as 3 different shirt bundles. The album is available through our store, as well as iTunes, Beats Music, Spotify, and others.

™WORD Release and Upcoming Shows

We are currently finishing our first album, “The Many Ways Of Rainy Days”. It is scheduled to be released February 18th in digital and CD formats. The CD version is a limited, numbered edition of 100. The CD is also available with a few CD/shirt packages, including a limited edition “Remission” variant of our “Recovering Goth” shirt. The album can be preordered from our store.
We will also be playing a few shows to celebrate the release. We will be returning to the place we first started, Red Eyed Fly, for a CD Release show in the lounge on February 28th. Then, on March 7th, we return to San Antonio for a First Friday set at Propaganda Palace followed by a CD Release show at Oak Hills Tavern on March 8th.
